About this artwork
It could also have been titled "Passage" like several other of my paintings, but "Interstice" sounded good! I always appreciate these realistic atmospheres where something seems to be subtly shifted... The accessories (balloon, tricycle) are more present for compositional reasons than to symbolize something (there is quite little symbolism anyway - intended , at least- in my works).

The French painter and draftsman also delves into themes of emptiness and solitude in his compositions.
