About this artwork
A tribute to the work of Winslow Homer. Bajer transfers Homer's work to the present day and depicts it in a contemporary way. He wants to depict the distractedness of today's world through the disrupted elements. The appearance of the subject is rearranged and gives the picture new meanings and associations. The image also contains collage-like elements and abstract areas in which he works a lot with effects and distinctive brushstrokes.

« For me, art is a handicraft and daily work. But also, it is the opportunity to express my inner self and to create something that makes me and others happy. »
