For over thirty years, Michael Diliberto has painted impressionist landscapes. However, for the past twelve years, the American artist's work has moved into abstraction. The landscape still plays a profound role, but he describes his current artistic process as "taking more chances with the images". Diliberto's art is grounded in the earth, and contain strong elements of texture, bold colors, horizons, and atmosphere.
