In this piece, I've poured my fascination with the dynamic ebb and flow of city life. The impasto technique in oils lends a rich texture, capturing both the chaos and rhythm of our daily commotion. I sought to evoke the blur of movement and fleeting moments using an impressionistic touch. It's meant to be a visceral reminder of the energy one feels when immersed in the relentless dance of urban existence.

Growing up in 1960s USSR meant Michael Goro quickly learned how to live with contradictions. Starting out painting government propaganda, he began his pursuit of a freer artistic path as soon as restrictions eased. Now gaining inspiration from his current home - Chicago, Goro uses his eye for architecture and an anthropological spirit to achieve interesting, carefully choreographed visual storytelling.
