About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I sought to capture the silent poetry of a city draped in winter's first embrace. My brushstrokes carry the chill of snowflakes kissing the urban landscape, their dance reflecting the juxtaposition of nature's gentleness and the city's stoic architecture. The warm glow of distant lights beckons, offering a haven from the serene yet unforgiving cold. This artwork promises to infuse any space with a contemplative tranquility,…
inviting viewers to pause and reflect amidst life's bustling rhythm.

« I’m interested in traces of humanity rather than humans - environments that show layers of human experience, change, decay, entanglement... »
Growing up in 1960s USSR meant Michael Goro quickly learned how to live with contradictions. Starting out painting government propaganda, he began his pursuit of a freer artistic path as soon as restrictions eased. Now gaining inspiration from his current home - Chicago, Goro uses his eye for architecture and an anthropological spirit to achieve interesting, carefully choreographed visual storytelling.
