About this artwork
Michael Meister's "Interiors" seek the moment in which the hierarchies between people, space and nature are eliminated. The detail serves as a membrane. The interior simultaneously defines the exterior. By reducing the image information, the artist achieves a state of suspension between reality and fantasy, possibility and impossibility. The image content is spatially nested.
