About this artwork
What is between two moments? The time between the times? The moment, the smallest element of time, the atom, so to speak.
The face is painted using the grisaille technique with one or two shades of brown; the lighter the area, the more the canvas shines through. This also applies to large parts of the picture. This gives the brush stroke a certain freshness. This makes the colors shine more. The freshness of the colors contrasts with the facial… expression of the protagonist. White was only used in the shoes and the t-shirt.
Signed front and back.
