About this artwork
This painting was done from a photo I took of the intersection of Monroe & State In busy downtown Chicago. It is my first urban landscape painting, I was inspired by the work for Richard Estes. This image depicts a slice of life on a typical Saturday in the summer of 1996. This is a high quality Giclee print, hand signed and stretched on wooden frames. This is a limited edition, 20 pieces - 2/20

« A photorealistic urban landscape painting excites me, especially when it's done well. I am drawn to this type of artwork. »

Although Neamand's initial goal is to accurately depict the image, he often accentuates certain elements that interest him. He paints with acrylics on canvas and photographs his own references.
