« Painting animals can be one of the most pleasurable experiences available to an artist. Any animal, no matter how ordinary, can be painted in an interesting and exciting way. »
Michael Nowakowski is a Polish painter, draftsman, and printmaker whose works have been exhibited both nationally and in the United Kingdom. His intensely detailed compositions often depict animals and are the result of many hours spent observing, sketching, and photographing wildlife in their unique habitats. Passionate about realism, Nowakowski's artistic practice centers around the reproduction of light, composition, contrast, and color harmony as observed in nature.
