About this artwork
The work "Saturday Evening – IDIDNOT" invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a dense, almost microscopic or cosmic world. The dynamic energy conveyed by the image stems from the fact that the forms appear to flow or grow from bottom to top. There is no fixed center; instead, Michael Pfeiffer guides the eye through a labyrinth of curves, loops, and interlocking segments. This flowing movement is reminiscent of biological processes—such as cell…
division.

Michael Pfeiffer studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Prof. Arik Brauer. His painting style was therefore influenced by Fantastic Realism, but has evolved further, through Surrealism to Minimalist Realism.
His works explore the interplay between flora, fauna, and humanity, a theme expressed in the "Love Stories" cycle. The works, created between 2019 and 2025, invite viewers to rediscover love, resilience, and their respective relationships with the environment on an emotional level.
