About this artwork
The "Erlenkoenig" is a small graceful and dynamic sculpture of alder wood. Two strains fly up in flames, one nearly penetrating the other. Maybe other associations are also available. As with the other works, there is no fixed "meaning". It is another poetic-aesthetic exploration of the piece of nature, or the alder.
