About this artwork
This work was actually intended as a geometric study. In it, the artist wanted to combine the structure of an oloid with that of a Möbius loop. Now there are even two loops that form the shape and run through the openings at right angles to each other. The study has now created a harmonious, graceful space, an interesting small sculpture. The polished pear wood makes it a sensual treat. It is mounted on a stone slab. But it is also removable.

Michael Rofka is a gifted German sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally, including in Poland, India, Germany and Russia.
