About this artwork
The artist made the sculpture Luna from a strong branch of a cherry tree with its wonderful red wood. This sculpture is not figurative either, although imaginative associations may arise. The flowing elegant shape, in which parts penetrate each other, is complex. In traditional natural philosophies, the cherry tree was assigned to the moon, hence the title Luna. The artist is interested in this connection.
