About this artwork
There is hardly a piece of wood that the artist is not worth making a sculpture out of. Of course it still has to be firm. Almost on every walk something is taken or placed ready to be fetched at some point if it is something larger. Dis was a piece of an ash branch that asked the artist to take away. the ancient teachings of nature. The artist is also only too happy to work with light wood with its pronounced grain. A filigree small wooden sculpture with a penetration in the center was created here. It has a dynamic, elegant swinging shape. 'Bird' is certainly just one of many possible associations. The wood is waxed and the work is mounted on a dark stone block.
