About this artwork
The artist created this graceful little sculpture from a piece of alabaster. He gave the light, almost transparent stone a complex, organic shape with openings. It is not figurative, but certainly offers various associations. The artist's aim was to make the stone bloom without depicting a flower. The sculpture is mounted on a dark piece of stone. The dimensions are without this block of stone.
