About this artwork
The "wave" is a basalt sculpture. In the case of the very hard volcanic stone, the sculptor of the upper surface has given the shape of a saddle surface. About the impact structure was ground, so that a haptic interesting structure has emerged. The sculpture is horizontal and lives from different angles. From one you can see the tensioned contour of the saddle surface, which is built up only from straight lines. Other areas were only slightly processed…
and still have their natural structure.
