Other artworks by Michael Valotto
Part of Michael Valotto's… Face and Moustache series, the painting moves between a recognizable character and an imagined map of inner life. Layers of acrylic, oil, and oil pastel create a surface where structure meets impulse and definition gives way to movement.
Within Valotto's exploration of existence, the psyche, and the soul, Mind Blown offers an image of consciousness in motion: restless, layered, and open to what lies beyond the visible. It invites the viewer to look past appearance and consider the unseen life carried within each person.

« I like to think you don't know what I'm thinking, but what I'm trying here as an artist is to show you the thoughts I'm thinking by painting the things I think. »
Working in oil, acrylic, oil pastel, and mixed media, Valotto combines fragmented figures, expressive marks, and recurring symbols, including skulls, faces, moustaches, and hashmarks. His work bridges expressionism, abstraction, impressionism, and surrealism, creating an instinctive, deeply personal visual language.
Through series such as Constructed Faces and Mind Blown, he explores the relationship between the physical world and the unseen. Layered color and energetic gestures transform each painting into an individual expression of character and soul. His paintings are held in private collections in the United States and Taiwan.
