About this artwork
This pastel painting was born from a special moment following a seminar given by Bent Branderup, a master of classical riding. Deeply impressed by his calm presence and the watchful, scrutinizing gaze he used to observe the development and subtle communication between his licensed trainer and her horse, I captured this moment in my own artistic language.
At the center of the picture stands Branderup, at peace with himself, wearing his characteristic… black felt hat and traditional Portuguese riding cape. His posture—dignified and concentrated—reflects not only the depth of his experience but also his quiet authority.
The work is a homage to classical equestrianism and to the inspiring charisma of a person who lives and passes it on with dedication.
