Michail Nogin is a multi-media artist based in Vienna, Austria. Though primarily a classically trained sculptor, Nogin also actively dabbles in graphics and photography. As such, he has come up with an innovative photography technique which he calls 'nigonography'. Using old analogue cameras, including a Hasselblad, he captures people and objects painted with light strokes in complete darkness. This creates ethereal images where only the essence of the subjects remains. His works, often representing the female form, profoundly express his appreciation for worldly beauty and his pursuit for the eternal.
