About this artwork
I was active in volunteering for people with intellectual disabilities. I worked with people with disorders by conducting classes for them. I learned their life, how they work, how they absorb the world around them. I talked to them, listened to their stories of their plans and desires. Everyone treated themselves equally. Sick people treat others completely normally, healthy people separate sick people and form a separate group of them.
Children… and adults with intellectual disabilities give everyone great love, but it's very easy to lose their trust, then they never forgive us again. If people with intellectual disabilities should have equal rights like others I leave to the open discussion, but it is a fact that all of them deserves an equal assessment and understanding of personality, the same respect as others.
None of us wants to take place of the affected person, but we should all face this problem together.

Michal Rejner is an exciting Polish painter who has exhibited his work in the US, Italy and Poland. For him, the combination of the aesthetic quality of easel painting and the street art experience is of fundamental importance, and he seeks to construct spaces of deep emotion in the relationship between art and audience.
