For this work I started from one of my photos where Ivan posed on his favorite beach. The corner is isolated and expressed calm and serenity to me.

Michel Das, painter: a journey between abstraction and Pop Art
Born in Lyon in 1964, Michel Das discovered his artistic vocation at the age of 20 at the National Gallery in London. After training in photography and then at the Bellecour School of Applied Arts, he fully committed himself to painting in 1992. His style, which evolved from bad painting to Pop Art, blends African, Asian, and Western influences, with touches of Fauvism and Cubism.
Defining himself as a colorist and photographer, Michel Das fuses the techniques of photography, AI, and color. His work seeks simplicity and purity of lines and colors, which translates into the use of large, uniform areas. He uses personal techniques, such as virtual collage and cut-out paper collage. He is also distinguished by his bold practice of the "graphic knot," a technique he deliberately adopted against academic teachings.
