About this artwork
In this work I experimented with a vibrant mix of acrylics, oil pastels and colored pencils. My intention was to create an atmosphere that evokes emotion and thought. Michel Meyer is an award-winning artist who has extensively exhibited in his native Germany, as well as in Switzerland and Norway. The painter and draftsman’s works infuse abstract with the figurative. His works are a reaction to the sublime, the archaic, the grotesque, the transitory, and the psychic. His artistic approach combines mixed techniques and materials, blending elements of collage, painting, and drawing with acrylics, oils, colored pencils and India ink on canvas or paper.
