In my artwork I capture the explosive vibrancy of the moment when taste overwhelms the senses. Using oil paints, I intensely expressed every texture and emotion, creating a scene that is simultaneously raw and tender. The color palette vibrates with energy and makes the scenery almost jump off the screen. Michel Meyer is an award-winning artist who has extensively exhibited in his native Germany, as well as in Switzerland and Norway. The painter and draftsman’s works infuse abstract with the figurative. His works are a reaction to the sublime, the archaic, the grotesque, the transitory, and the psychic. His artistic approach combines mixed techniques and materials, blending elements of collage, painting, and drawing with acrylics, oils, colored pencils and India ink on canvas or paper.
