This work is a dialogue between the painting by Hopper After "Excursion into Philosophy" and the space in which the painting was relived: the Kube art center in Beacon, New York. The dialogue is left apparent in the final photograph and video Art. The scene was created and captured during a performance that took place at the Kube in 2023.
The whole scene was built in front of the public who could see the scene viewed by the camera though a screen… connected to the camera. Away from the specific point in space where the camera was placed, the illusion created by the trompe l’oeil techniques used to transform the gallery space could be experienced by the viewer.
This piece will be shipped rolled in a tube. Final dimensions listed refer to the mounted size.
The quality of the image is low to protect the photograph copyright, but the original is in the highest quality.
