In the performance 'Menorah', I lit seven candles and placed them evenly, three along each arm and one on the tip of my head. Once the candles were lit, the room was darkened and the candles were the only source of light. My arms were spread out with the flickering light of the candles and I swirled for several minutes, reflecting the meditation ceremony performed by the Sufis. The performance was first shown in Beit Berl college in 2010, then in… Alfred Gallery as part of Performance Festival, in ST-ART residence, and the documentation of the performance was shown in FusionArt museum in New York. The original performance lasted 20 minutes.
This piece will be shipped rolled in a tube. Final dimensions listed refer to the mounted size.
