About this artwork
"Flight" is a work entirely painted with a palette knife, with a background covered in texture, giving it a raw and vibrant appearance. It belongs to the "Coves and Islands" series, and like each composition in this series, it is inspired by the landscapes of my region, the Arcachon Basin and the Atlantic coast, where the colors and atmospheres are always muted, never truly vivid, never violent. blend at the horizon. Where the initial feeling that emerges is one of calm and serenity. In this canvas, which I treated in a much more figurative style, I added birds to accentuate the impression of authenticity, escape, serenity, and poetry.

Michel Saint-Luc is a French painter who has exhibited in Spain, Germany, and France. Having been born and lived close to water his entire life, Saint-Luc's works reflect his passion for seascapes.
