About this artwork
This painting is the second painting in the series of "Geometric Digressions" resulting from an assiduous reading of the precise, Point, line, plan, of Vassily Kandinsky. It is a question here of ordering the elements in a coherent whole. I chose to work with only 3 primary colors, red, yellow and blue...applied as they are. The creation of this canvas naturally came to extend the first of the series. Canvas to be seized without delay before destruction.

Michel Schwebel, intuitive painter, juggles with oil and acrylic on large formats. His techniques oscillate between abstraction and figuration, capturing the essence of his subjects with a classic style. He infuses his paintings with the intensity of an “inner necessity”, an echo of his artistic soul.
