It was during a week of spring tides that, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 2:05 PM, I attempted to capture the serenity and timeless strength of this lighthouse, a symbol of guidance and hope. The striking contrast between the vibrant red and pure white against the blue sky evokes a luminous and reassuring energy. Its construction was slow, lasting four years from 1839 to 1842.
