Michelle Cobbin is an accomplished British painter whose work has featured in prominent shows throughout the UK. There are several recurring themes that are important to her: simplicity, harmony and emotional response. Implicit in all her work is an idea about connective awareness: seeing things in relation to things. For Cobbin, this links to the traditional definition of ‘mindfulness’ as an alert, receptive awareness that brings a quality of breadth to experience.
