About this artwork
While out hiking recently, my dog and I were pursued by a pack of coyotes. No kidding! A frightening and unlikely scene, but it's true. Don't worry, nobody was injured. This abstract painting is my energetic response to instinct overtaking thought, and silence replacing noise. Fight or flight. Tunnel vision. Michelle Louis is a full-time American painter based near Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, and included in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and worldwide, including the National Gallery of Costa Rica. Artist and naturalist trained in studio art, graphic design, and landscape architecture, Michelle Louis's studio extends to her yard, where she nurtures an edible landscape. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
