« For me, the themes in which I engage in have less to do with my memory of that scene and more to do with the sensation I associate with it. »
Michelle Rose Key is a multidisciplinary artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Africa, the United Kingdom, Spain, and France. Her abstract realistic pieces often feature figurative elements and convey memories and feelings that have been re-imagined. Key believes that an encounter with a work of art can become intertwined in the viewer's memory and with their own experiences, shifting both the painting and the viewer.
