About this artwork
In this work, I fused earth and sand with oil paint to express the profound connection between identity and environment. The semi-abstract figure and primitive strokes represent the human essence against a turbulent background, conveying energy and inner strength. Miguel Betancourt is an experienced painter from Ecuador. The central themes of his work are Ecuadorian landscapes, trees, architecture, the Andes and their colors as well as the dancers who live in this region of the country.
