They say the eyes are the window to the soul, but those windows are rarely fully open. We live in a world of appearances, where we build walls around our true essence.
I capture the fundamental tension of human communication. The lock represents the barriers we all have: our defenses, our secrets, our public image. And the eye, bright and alert, is the relentless desire to understand what lies on the other side, to find the raw truth hidden behind… others' facades. It's a visual reminder that we never see anyone's whole picture; we only see fragments through the cracks they choose to open for us, and the curiosity to discover those fragments of the other person.
