« By painting the abstract, I explore the wanderings of the mind, my ramblings, and this absolute need for freedom. »
Milla Laborde is an artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. For her, abstract art is a form of liberty as it "frees itself from visual reality" as well as any "constraints related to perfection and beauty". Milla places importance on a textural approach in her works, applying paint with a knife and playing with "shapes, shadows, and movement".
