About this artwork
I created this print using the traditional copperplate etching technique, carefully biting the lines into the plate with acid before hand-printing it on fine, archival printmaking paper. Following the methods of the old masters, I aimed to capture not just the image, but the quiet atmosphere it holds.
The figure is that of an old man, standing still, his gaze lowered as if weighed down by thought and time. The sparse lines and soft tones invite… the viewer to pause, filling the empty space with their own sense of the man’s story.
This work is part of a limited edition of 20 impressions, each one hand-printed, signed, and numbered by me.
