You Including Myself Episode Ⅲ : Observing at this hour
"You Including Myself Episode" portrays the double-sided aspects of you (modern-day people), by making data collection of the aspects of you including me, who are all in the restricted frame of the modern society passing through the transition.
By simplifying humans, this work expresses the images of modern-day people who are in the quadrangular frame, and the figures of simplified humans… are absent from their arms. Though arms and legs can serve as a means to express our emotions in general, they do not appear in my present work but the motion or position of legs of the person helps us in analogizing the aspect or inner state of the person. Moreover, the surface based on the melted aluminium is to draw the inner side of the person and makes it possible to find the appearance and facial expression of the person.

« I convey the everyday, typical appearance of modern people. »
Min Mun is an exciting young South Korean sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally. He predominately explores the inherent duality that exists within and even drives modern-day individuals, simplifying human figures and focusing on the essential movements of body parts. Postures, moods, and even facial expressions are clearly communicated in Mun's structures despite their seemingly simple appearance, allowing each viewer to make careful observations about how people present to society, about how they may try to hide, and about what their body gives away even when they try to.
