Ming Yuan is a classically trained painter and sculptor from China. His works seek to establish an order with simple colors and simple forms though they are created in a process that is anything but simple. Using a palette knife, small amounts of acrylic paint are scraped onto the canvas repeatedly. Each layer must dry completed before a new one is added. Finally a layer of polish is applied to create an even texture and seal the work.
