« Drawing on personal experience and inspired by the human anatomy and psychoanalytic theory, I explore desire as my main subject matter, alongside the concept of life and death. »
Minju Kim is an emerging South Korean sculptor and painter based in the UK, who has exhibited her work internationally. Kim's work is drawn from her theory that all things stem from desire, which materializes differently for every person. Consequently, the human figure is her primary subject; her works display the continuous cycle of life, death and desire with equal parts strength and physicality.
