About this artwork
I collected these leaves from under the tree in the school garden. They were left there to dry and vanish into the soil. The material is slowly dissapearing and only the thicker parts stay. They look like a very fine delicate lace. Here is the nature at its finest - the neverending change. The cycle of birth, growth and death, and the birth again. I stopped the cycle, collected the leaves and let them be attached in my embroidery picture for a while.…
They will be changing, but not so fast. They are capured in the moment, stuck here on the paper where my 4yo son drew some colourful lines.
