This work speaks of the acceptance of the change our body experiences over time, a constant and barely perceptible reminder, day after day, that our train at some unexpected moment will arrive at its destination, leaving us at the halt of mystery, ignorant of How will the trip continue?
I was always fascinated by X-rays because of their peculiar texture and especially because of the fact that they portrayed the interior, something that we could… not see with the naked eye. In the same way I try to reflect in these works the internal sensation of the changes that I experience, the silent but constant fall of the body.

Describing her artistic expression as responding to a vital need, she believes that contact with colors and matter gives beauty, meaning, and order to the world she perceives. In her works, Cifuentes pursues moments of meeting with the unknown, while also intimately familiar, in which the intention disappears and only the image remains.
