This piece is created with mineral pigment from the Cingles del Perer, a very specific area near Barcelona (Catalonia), incorporating the territory not as a representation, but as a real presence.
The central form, organic and contained, emerges from the void as an essential gesture. Its balance between matter and silence conveys a sense of grounding and stillness, evoking a return to the primal.
The texture of the stone, transferred to the paper,… is perceived both tactilely and visually.
The work invites you to inhabit an inner space of calm and recognition: a place to return to, where you feel welcomed.

Mireia Julian, trained in fine arts and an expert in mural techniques, works with handmade watercolors made from mineral pigments and handmade paper. Her work is inspired by methodologies such as Japanese Gyotaku, along with her own processes that allow her to transfer the essence of stone and the energy of nature to paper, preserving its original form and texture.
Deeply connected to the natural environment, she creates pieces that convey harmony, calm, and a sense of belonging. Through her work, she invites us to remember that we are part of nature and that within it we find balance and fulfillment. Her purpose is to bring beauty and connection to spaces, acting as a respectful conduit for the purity of natural elements.
