« Without art, there would be no seed of beauty in the world. »
Mireille Andelu is a French painter and printmaker, who, after years of assisting her artist husband in his engravings, has developed her own artistic language. She practices the carborundum collagraph printing techniques invented by abstract artist Henri Goetz, who taught her the nuances of this method. Employing pigments, tissue paper, sand, marble powder, oil pastels, and collage in the creation of her compositions, Andelu believes that the mixture of materials brings life to the canvas.
