About this artwork
The Shea Stadium, inaugurated in 1964, was the legendary place where for the first time in the world, in 1964, we saw a rock and roll group perform in a stadium. Built that same year and destroyed in 2008, I collected many photos of this stadium of which I drew several sketches, before choosing one of them to make the canvas that you can see today.
It was the Beatles who played in 1964 at Shea Stadium for an anthology concert.
