About this artwork
This object celebrates the richness of traditions through simple and warm materials. It is a printed imitation of "Bogolan" (bogo = earth; lan = made from), a hand-spun and woven cotton fabric originating from Mali.
I paired it with raw pallet wood and the understated metal that supports the cardboard cube. The overall effect is a balance between modernity and heritage.
