About this artwork
It was 2019. In the fervor of a sunset of earth and fire, I erected this "Climb" as a challenge hurled at the void. At the heart of the blaze of ochres and purples, a column of azure rises, a fragile architecture of deep blues seeking their path toward the light. Each block of color is a hold, a necessary support in this silent ascent where geometry becomes breath. I wanted to capture this vertigo of effort, this suspended moment where the mind clings…
to the walls of the imagination to escape gravity. It is a vertical journey, a quest for height where one ends up losing oneself in order to better find oneself, where sky and rock become one...
