About this artwork
To create this piece, I had to go out and take a look at the ordinary people at work in an outside setting. This is a decision that helped me see that although the ordinary people work harder than the rest of the society and earn much less for a living, they still embrace life with a high level of energy that seems contagious to me. In fact, I also observed that the ordinary fellows have never stopped talking and singing at the same time while performing… their harsh daily duties. When I returned to my studio, I placed myself in the skin of those citizens to feel their energy, which allowed me to dance their dance while splashing the acrylic colors one after the other on the canvas. Thus, I gave birth to Dancing with my Favorite Colors as I was out of myself for a moment, immersed in a sea of craziness. Here is the quote that came from my inner voice at that particular moment: Create is sometimes an act of craziness. Indeed, the manifestation of the colors looks like craziness.
Moise Semexant is a painter rooted deeply in emotion, employing acrylics and oil pastels on canvas. His technique involves pouring colors intuitively to form an abstract vision, then refining with brushes and pastels. His artworks evoke a serene embrace of beauty, love, and harmony, reflecting his innermost feelings.
