About this artwork
I was born from the sadness of a cloud, a product of global warming. Its pain caused my fall, and I came to rest on the highest peak of the highest mountain. My sisters, the tears, soon joined me, and together we fertilized the earth in the form of streams, rivers, torrents, ponds, lakes, seas, and oceans. But the fruits I bore were polluted. Instead of quenching the thirst of the thirsty, I poisoned. I had become corrupted by over-industrialization…
and overconsumption. Then humanity realized that without me, it would perish. That there was still time to act so that I could once again be a fertile source that quenches thirst, purifies, and brings forth life. I am WATER.
