Madame reçoit meaning the lady of the house welcome her guests.. when housewife’s were still taking care of the household and didn’t have to work outside. It was a habit for every lady to set a day of the week to have a party and welcome her friends . Nowadays it is seldom to find time to keep this tradition going. Still we enjoy to receive couple persons , to chat and enjoy sharing pastries and drink home made. This painting express… the joy of receiving, sharing in a beautiful setting where friends and pets are relaxing. This painting is already sold . I accept commission for a similar artwork . I will ship the large canvases unmounted and rolled to save on shipping. Thank you

Mona Asmar Hecker has been exhibiting her works since the 1980s in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. Her artistic style has matured to the point where she now feels compelled to translate disturbing world issues through her compositions. Hecker paints endangered species and tackles the distress of war while also portraying vibrantly colored butterflies. She paints using acrylics as it adapts best to her needs, and adamantly ‘does not follow any rules'.
