About this artwork
In this work of art, I used bronze to create an object that embodies strength and rootedness. The sculpted branches reach out, as if to hug the space and enliven it with splashes of color. My intention was to create a synthesis of nature and fantasy that brings a feeling of uniqueness and life-affirming energy to every home.

Mona Pfürtner is a multidisciplinary artist based in Germany whose works have been exibited natioanlly and in Switzerland. She cites art as being her deepest form of expression. In Pfürtner's abstract works, time and feeling play a decisive role, where the piece is created "over and over again" in many layers until is is "right". Most recently, she has addressed the pandemic in her compositions, fusing surrealism with naturalism.
