About this artwork
In this work, I capture the untamed beauty and fleeting moments of nature in oil paints. Inspired by the Impressionist movement, the painting's bold composition and vibrant color palette allow viewers to experience the freshness and vibrancy of a summer bouquet. The delicate blossoms in the transparent vase symbolize transience and the constant renewal of life. This painting brings an energetic and optimistic mood to any home.
Monika Köhler, painter from Berlin. I specialize in oil painting and live realism. In my work, in addition to the creative process and the selection of unusual motifs such as the light bulb, the sustainability of my works is particularly important to me. I only use the highest quality paints, mix them myself and apply them in multiple layers. I love working with bright colors. The paintings retain their value thanks to the multi-layer technique. I studied art history at the Free University of Berlin. I learned about image design and painting techniques in depth and developed them further during several stays in Italy (Tuscany, Volterra). In particular, I learned the technique of oil painting through my long-term collaboration with the award-winning Berlin painter Sabine Kasan (master student).
